Freebies!!!

So yea, my dad is the coolest. I would marry him if it were possible. I tell my mom all the time that she'll definitly have competition in me in our next life. I should probably blog about him sometime. First things first though, I'm trying to replace my sister; Prim-not. I am finally tired of her. I thought I could manage her but naa, not working anymore. The yeye girl is trouble. Just last weekend, she wanted to put me in trouble. Let me share what happened. So last weekend, during this church service that I attended, my phone rang. Yea, my sister was calling. Of course I thought I switched off all alerts until Rihanna and Eminem's "Monster" rang out in church. Yea, the  one that starts with:

I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed
Get along with the voices inside of my head
You're trying to save me, stop holding your breath
And you think I'm crazy, yeah, you think I'm crazy

In church o! Alakoba. The pastor would have orgnised sharp sharp special deliverance for me. Suffice to say, i've changed my ring tone. Sigh.

So to the matter of today. See ehn, all of you people always looking down on Ibadan…."Ibadan the city of rust", "Ibadan ki ni so?”, "Ibadan the ancient city”, take my word for it, in a few more years, you will be swallowing your words and asking an Ibadan pelzon to give you water to wash it down.

Initially, I was surprised when a fast growing internet providing company started its operations from Ibadan. I wondered why not Lagos, or Abuja, or Port Harcourt as is the norm with these sort of things. Then again, why not Ibadan? Anyway, today is not to talk about that. It is to talk about some of the pure gold in this City of Ibadan. A very good friend recently told me about a place called Orange Fabrics. So I went there and got myself a few things. I love the ambiance as opposed to the sun and heat of Aleshinloye.

Orange Fabrics is a one-stop-shop for all things clothing. I mean that very literally o. Name it and they probably have it. Clothing, shoes and accessories of all sizes and occasions for men, women, kids and babies. Its location is in the heart of the city gaan gaan on 24, Kudeti Avenue, Onireke. That's the area I wish my dad would carry our house to (HD, I'm watching you so stop laughing!) If it were possible, I'd be getting to work in 2minutes flat!

Anyways, the store also stocks lovely Lace, Atiku, Cord, Ankara, etc. fabrics of varied prices right there in the store! Do you realize that this means there is no need to peruse Aleshinloye or Gbagi or travel all the way to Isale Eko in the scorching sun to get lovely and decently priced authentic fabrics?! Though belated, I know exactly where I am getting my mother’s Mother’s Day present from. The woman has been driving me crazy and I need her to love me for another week at least :D

What’s more, I got a deal for my Ibadan readers or anyone of you that have family in Ibadan. If you visit Orange Fabrics and mention that you read about them on Toinlicious’ blog, you are entitled to a free gift with your purchase. Free gift o! As in OshoFREE!

My people, what are you waiting for? Don’t say I never did anything for you guys o! Ilu Ibadan o ni baje…O ba je ti….:D

You can contact them on: (+234) 08095154201

I'll be gisting you guys about my ex-sister (yea, it's that serious) soon.

BESTIE!!!

I'm really close to my sisters and I honestly don't know what I'll do without them. It's Prim-not's birthday today and I decided to do this for her. It's SingleNigerian Man's birthday too so here's a shout out to them both.

Prim-not and I attended the same schools and the first time we were apart for long was her NYSC service year. I pretended not to miss her much but I did. I was used to the squabbles, fights, shouting and laughter. I love her. Not sure I’ve told her that seriously beforeoh wait, I have and she asked “shon dagbere ni?” (Meaning: was I was saying my final farewell!) Yea, she’s crazy like that. She loves me too.  At least I think so. She must really love me because I know I showed her a lot! See, I was not the easiest child to live with. Naughty was sort of my middle name. Plus my idea of interesting/fun wasn't hers.

Did I already say I love her to bits? Yea, I do. Forever and a day. When I was absolutely with no brain (ok, I always had but you would never have guessed it for the kind of stuff I did lol) she was there, pushing me harder and harder and I hated her for it. She has always been my voice of reason. I remember we still talked about this a few months ago and we had a good time laughing about my foolishness.

She is my number one fan. She cheers me up and when I have those little bouts of issues, she's there to straighten me up and she never fails to let me know that I'm doing awesomely. When I become my harshest critic, she reminds me that I am enough and I need not be so hard on myself. She is aware of all my flaws and she still thinks I'm amazing. She believes I can take on the world without batting an eyelid. See confidence. You want to try to quantify that love? You can't. With that support system, you know you can take on anything. She knows me and loves me. Simple.

I look at her and I see the person I want to be when I grow up (despite d fact that we are only a few months apartok, maybe more than that but who’s counting? *tongue out*) Anyway, with her by my side, I know I’ll always be alright. Please say a little prayer for her as you read this.

On a last note, if by any chance Prim-not reads this, I shall deny this post even if it has my signature on it or my name plastered all over it. I shall vehemently deny.

P.S: So I finally met Honeydame and we had an amazeballs time *azonto* I”ll be back with more gist. *wink*

Merry Christmas beautiful people
