Freebies!!!

So yea, my dad is the coolest. I would marry him if it were possible. I tell my mom all the time that she'll definitly have competition in me in our next life. I should probably blog about him sometime. First things first though, I'm trying to replace my sister; Prim-not. I am finally tired of her. I thought I could manage her but naa, not working anymore. The yeye girl is trouble. Just last weekend, she wanted to put me in trouble. Let me share what happened. So last weekend, during this church service that I attended, my phone rang. Yea, my sister was calling. Of course I thought I switched off all alerts until Rihanna and Eminem's "Monster" rang out in church. Yea, the  one that starts with:

I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed
Get along with the voices inside of my head
You're trying to save me, stop holding your breath
And you think I'm crazy, yeah, you think I'm crazy

In church o! Alakoba. The pastor would have orgnised sharp sharp special deliverance for me. Suffice to say, i've changed my ring tone. Sigh.

So to the matter of today. See ehn, all of you people always looking down on Ibadan…."Ibadan the city of rust", "Ibadan ki ni so?”, "Ibadan the ancient city”, take my word for it, in a few more years, you will be swallowing your words and asking an Ibadan pelzon to give you water to wash it down.

Initially, I was surprised when a fast growing internet providing company started its operations from Ibadan. I wondered why not Lagos, or Abuja, or Port Harcourt as is the norm with these sort of things. Then again, why not Ibadan? Anyway, today is not to talk about that. It is to talk about some of the pure gold in this City of Ibadan. A very good friend recently told me about a place called Orange Fabrics. So I went there and got myself a few things. I love the ambiance as opposed to the sun and heat of Aleshinloye.

Orange Fabrics is a one-stop-shop for all things clothing. I mean that very literally o. Name it and they probably have it. Clothing, shoes and accessories of all sizes and occasions for men, women, kids and babies. Its location is in the heart of the city gaan gaan on 24, Kudeti Avenue, Onireke. That's the area I wish my dad would carry our house to (HD, I'm watching you so stop laughing!) If it were possible, I'd be getting to work in 2minutes flat!

Anyways, the store also stocks lovely Lace, Atiku, Cord, Ankara, etc. fabrics of varied prices right there in the store! Do you realize that this means there is no need to peruse Aleshinloye or Gbagi or travel all the way to Isale Eko in the scorching sun to get lovely and decently priced authentic fabrics?! Though belated, I know exactly where I am getting my mother’s Mother’s Day present from. The woman has been driving me crazy and I need her to love me for another week at least :D

What’s more, I got a deal for my Ibadan readers or anyone of you that have family in Ibadan. If you visit Orange Fabrics and mention that you read about them on Toinlicious’ blog, you are entitled to a free gift with your purchase. Free gift o! As in OshoFREE!

My people, what are you waiting for? Don’t say I never did anything for you guys o! Ilu Ibadan o ni baje…O ba je ti….:D

You can contact them on: (+234) 08095154201

I'll be gisting you guys about my ex-sister (yea, it's that serious) soon.

SO IT KINDA HAPPENEND LIKE THIS...

Source
Thanks for all your lovely comments on my almost-poem. It felt good that my ramble made sense (humble geh like me)

So it's my 50th post (yay me) and i'm sharing a story. Don't ask questions you hear?

There is this cute medical doctor i like who is really into me. He suggested I drop by after work and he was going to make me a meal and i agreed. I was really hungry on that day but I didn’t want to go to his house hungry because I already told him I was finicky with food. He promised to 'wow' me but being the first time at his place, I didn’t want to disgrace myself by eating too much (as a sure geh lol).

So I went to this Alhaja's buka inside UCH to get something in me. Unfortunately, my goat-meat somehow landed on the front of my very crispy white shirt. Conspicuous much? It was beyond bad. Going back home to change was not an option so i started calling all the friends i had around so I could borrow a shirt for my date but no one was available. I was very embarrassed so i called cute-guy and gave an excuse so we could postpone our date and he said no problem. There are some things you do that you know are bad and God just wants to punish you for.

As I stepped out of the buka, I saw him. I wanted the floor to swallow me. Did i say i was embarrassed before? I apparently didn't know the feeling. Seeing him was the real deal. Anyway, I confessed (more like my shirt told the story), he thought I was adorable and... *wink*

Again, don't ask if this truly happened to me you hear? You hear? Ok, good.

*Kisses*

So, this is a short post. If my friend sees this, I’m dead for sure. I hope I come back here alive though because I’ll really miss you guys.

Do not read this at work. If you are at work or a public place, close this window and step away from your computer or phone now! I repeat, DO NOT READ THIS!

Now go ahead and read hehehe.

I read Honeydame’s last post where she shared one of her most embarrassing moments. I thought it was hilarious, so I sent the link to my friend (lets call her Posh) who in turn decided to tell me about hers.

Posh: I was coming back from somewhere one day when I was about that age, then shit was catching me. I was sha tryna hold myself. When I was a few houses away from mine, I couldn't take it any longer
Toin: Oh oh!
Posh: There was a lil bush beside a family friend’s house & i quickly squatted to do my thing
Toin: Berra
Posh: Dunno where this boy sprang out from. He was a year ahead of me in primary school
Toin: Nooooooooooooooooooo
Posh: He chased me with half the poo dangling out my shithole and my pants down my ankle
Posh: He chased me all the way to my house
Toin:  rotflmao Tears
Posh: I ran like a common criminal
Toin: hahahaha
Posh: Needless to say by the time I got home, I didn't feel like shitting again
Toin: I swear, I have tears in my eyes
Posh:  It wasn’t funny o. My brother nearly died of laughter
Toin: I’m dying here. Water is coming outa my eyes and nose

Now let’s pray she never ever sees this. Fingers crossed.

Please share your embarrassing stories in the comment section. (It can't be as bad as Posh's or can it?)
To my new followers, thanks guys and welcome to my crazy fun space.
Happy new month y’all. I’ll be back #wink
